Christmas 2017 Volunteer Opportunities  ....

We are entering our busiest time of the year and would not be able to carry out our work without the gift of volunteers and their time.

Sunday, December 17th  —  TRANSPORTING GIFTS


          12:00 noon     8 people ot help move bags of gifts from Diocesan Centre to St Mary's School Auditorium

                                    meet at Diocesan Centre [old O'Grady High School] - 6500 Southridge Ave



          2:00 pm     8  people to help move bags of gifts from Diocesan Centre [old O’Grady High School]

                                           meet at St Mary’s School Auditorium,  1088 Gillett St




Tuesday,  December 19th  — UNLOADING FOOD & MOVING EMPTY HAMPER BOXES


          12:00 noon   6  people to move empty hamper boxes from storage to St Mary’s School Auditorium

                                           meet at St Vincent’s Drop-In Centre, 1220 - 2nd Avenue


          1:00 pm     10 strong, able-bodied  people to unload case lot food from trucks

                                           meet at St Mary’s School Auditorium,  1088 Gillett St

     


Wednesday,  December 20th  — PACKING FOOD INTO CHRISTMAS HAMPERS


          10:30 am until completion [2-3 hours]  -   20 volunteers required  

                                            location:  St Mary’s School Auditorium,  1088 Gillett St



Thursday, December 21st  —  FINAL PACKING AND HAMPER DELIVERIES


          7:30 am     8 - 10  strong, able-bodied people to unload perishables & turkeys & pack in hampers


          10:00 am - 2:30 pm [approximately]     

                               10 able-bodied people required to help load hampers into vehicles for delivery;

                                      cleanup duties afterwards


          10:00 am - 2:00 pm [approximately]     4 volunteers to help direct traffic in the parking lot


          10:30 am - 2:00 pm [approximately]    15 - 20  drivers & their vehicles to deliver hampers to families


                       St Mary’s School Auditorium,  1088 Gillett St
